Violence in schools is, unfortunately, a fact of our society. It is manifested in different forms, and the school becomes the space where conflicts between students or between students and adults evolves.
This type of violence can manifest verbally, mentally or physically. By “traditional,” we used to consider school violence – as “beatings” of students – normal, every generation with bullies “her. There are still significant differences between past and present situations, both in terms of frequency of these situations and perception of these events: they become manier are tolerated, and the joke is reason those involved, the authors, are “small heroes” from this classes or schools.
Most of the violence occurred in the school environment there in Chisinau and districts are assaults. They noted that violence in schools has become a kind of tradition or a habit. School may be to blame, or management / security system, or the area where the school is. Irrespective of importance I give to education, to wish all the children’s safety. This type of violence produce both physical and psychological consequences.
Another kind of violence is bullying. Bullying or intimidation – acts over time that a child or group of children use the advantage of physical strength and mental pressure on their colleagues. Bullying can be verbal and psychological and often abusers are themselves victims from families with problems. Violence should not be tolerated that in turn generates violence and change depends on us all.
Considering this fact Professional women’s association by great support of Arigatou International from Nairobi organized several events such as a public meeting (01.09.2014) at the end held a concert and a series of workshops.
Also there were two workshops in which participated 30 parents (11/14/2014), especially from the primary classes and to another 25 teachers from IV-VII classes (11/28/2014) .
The activities were interactive, with the active participation of the participants. The concrete examples were made.
It was also decided as from these two groups to add up a group with parents and teachers come to submit concrete proposals to uproot the situation created.
So, took place a celebration book’s day, because reading the stories, children become more gentle.
