A global awareness event, celebrated every year on October 17 (IDEP) is an opportunity for reflection, support and action to end poverty and all other forms of poverty. Unfortunately, the most affected by this phenomenon are children.

From October 12 to 17, 2020, the Association of Professional and Business Women of Moldova organized an Information Campaign about the International Day for Combating Poverty IDEP.

During the Campaign, Association was organized a debate with discussions regarding combating poverty, a flash-mob with the same theme,

but also a mini exhibition with the sale of bakery products.

These products were made by children and for children from poor families with help of adults for charity main.

During the flash mob we distributed to each child a sheet with various slogans, after they comments and debates on each slogan, as children understand.

During the meeting with the young people we focused on the discussion “Acting together to achieve social and environmental justice for all”. Was presented various information, told stories and advocacy opportunities as well as solutions for community involvement. There were children with initiative who told other children what social justice means through their vision

The current realities of the COVID-19 were also discussed, about the protection methods, about the possibilities of respecting all the norms and rules established in our country by the National Commission for medical security.

In the same way, several actions were organized, such as the drawing contest with the generic “Doctor on guard of life”. Many children, who have participate in the contest, presented the doctor as a guardian Angel.
