And new legislative provisions on education, current situation, and the problems identified in the territory, in organizing and conducting pre-school and general, were discussed on the round table during the meeting with heads of local bodies of ordinary skill in all districts. Participants were made aware of the normative acts that will enter into force in the near future, their characteristics and application in practice, while being advised about arrears on certain chapters and deviations from rules attested regions.

In opening the round table, Deputy Minister Elena Cerna presented a brief report of the activities of the Ministry of Education in recent months, referring to the most relevant events, but also the concerns raised by the ministry in the territory, such as cases of violence against children, suicide among minors, corruption, etc.

In this context, the Deputy Minister stressed the importance of maintaining and intensifying communication at all levels, involving all stakeholders, allowing for prompt and accurate decision making and taking actions necessary to ensure the smooth running of the educational process.

“In most cases, school’s managers prefer not to report incidents and problems facing the educational institution, because as they would need to respond to both the competent authorities and civil society. But we need to know the actual situation, to take measures and prevent such cases. I urge you to have permanent active dialogue with mayors, directors, teachers, social services in the territory, NGO, students, parents, and the Ministry of Education. We will not tolerate any corruption or deviation from the norm, “said Elena Cerna.

Heads of district education were informed approval and the Regulations-type of organization and functioning of institutions of ECD, respectively, of the primary and secondary cycle I and II. Regulations to be published in the Official Gazette.

Tudor Terchea, interim head of General Division of Education, Youth and Sports, Floreşti, of the topical issues discussed, saying that he had obtained answers to many questions. “On 29 April we held a meeting with directors of all educational institutions in general and the district will address these issues at the local level, including recommendations I will notify the Ministry of Education and provisions”.

The next ordinary meeting with representatives of specialized local bodies will be held in May.
