On June 17-19, in Berlin, on the wechange-Conference “Civil Society 4.0” supported by Federal Foreign Office of Germany, the Wechange Cooperative brought together 140 civil activists from NGOs and initiatives from Eastern Partnership Countries, Germany and Russia.

From BPW Moldova participated Tatiana Scai, Handmade Project Coordinator. The main goal of the Conference was gathering participants for future cooperation, developing and expansion of permanent structures, and to provide space for project development and find new partner organisations. There were topics disscussed such as “Digitalisation & New Forms of Collaboration” and ‘Sustainability of NGOs” (economically, ecologically), etc.

The activists participated in different workshops such as: Digital Technologies for the Civil Society, Cross-Border Journalism as a Method, Open Knowledge as a Foundation for a Circular Economy, Data Security for Human Right Activists + NGOs, Partnering with the Other, Setting up Your Team Sustainably, etc. Everyone had a chance to choose any of the spheres presented and take the place at a workshop.

The organizators appointed 7 field visits to the following organisations: – Civic Tech, Fairmondo eG www.fairmondo.de/genossenschaft – Grassroot Initiatives, bi‟bak https://bi-bak.de/ – Data Security and Human Rights, Tactical Tech www.tacticaltech.org – Cross-Boarder Journalism, TAZ www.taz.de/!p4258/ – Financial Sustainability, SunCrafter https://thesolargeneration.org/ and Climate-KIC www.climate-kic.org/countries/germany/ – Ecological Sustainability, Prinzessinnengärten https://prinzessinnengarten.net/ – Organisational Development, Socius https://socius.de/en/

These revealed interesting insights in the new fields of platform development.

At the very last day of the Conference the participants worked on ideas of the new projects. Some of them already had collobarated with others and presented fabulous projects together. Activists showed their project ideas on the stage and were gifted with bestsellers books and fine chocolate.
