The 7th BPW Mediterranean Symposium, held under the general theme “The Balance of Power: Gender, Economy, Leadership,” officially opened in Nicosia, Cyprus.
The opening ceremony included keynote speeches by BPW Europe Coordinator Anu Viks, BPW Cyprus President Mary Papadopoulou, and Nikos Christodoulides, President of Cyprus, together with the Prime Minister and several ministers.
The forum gathered high-level representatives from the Parliament, business sector, embassies, Chamber of Commerce, Employers’ and Industrialists’ Associations, as well as the Commissioner for Gender Equality.
Participants from numerous countries were present, including Germany, Italy, Ireland, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Moldova, Palestine, Switzerland, the United States, and Canada, among others.
BPW Moldova also took part in this important international event, contributing to the dialogue on gender equality, economic development, and women’s leadership.
