Motivational seminar "Women wake up!"

Under this motto, took place in Chisinau from October 5-10 , 2018 a seminar, in the municipality library of B.P. Hashdeu in the framework of the project "Equal possibilities in working life for women of Moldova". At the beginning of the  seminar  was shown the film. After this during 3 hours was  discussed different problems, for example:  1. OUR CONVICTIONS AND STEREOTYPE THINKING;  2.  GENDER STEREOTYPE - BARRIER OF MATERNITY; 3. GENDER STEREOTYPE - GLASS CEILING.

About 100 women of different specialties, and different ages participated in the workshop, which was carried Leena Kivisild и Эстер Eomois.

Our lives are governed by beliefs that can be useful and harmful to us, mentioned by Convictions and stereotype thinking. In many ways, success at work, happiness in family life, and attitudes towards ourselves and others depend on our beliefs. Beliefs in a society is determined, for example, what is the role of man and woman. It may happen that the beliefs that have developed in society do not coincide with our beliefs, and we will encounter obstacles that are usually expressed through conflicts or dissatisfaction. What to do in this situation? If we want to achieve changes in our lives, then we first need to look at our beliefs, which we may not even suspect, and carry out an “inventory of beliefs”. How to recognize your beliefs? What beliefs limit our potential? How to overcome them and find the strength to implement change?

GENDER STEREOTYPE - BARRIER OF MATERNITY. International studies show that with the birth of children, women in particular lose their career development and income. Organizations also perceive motherhood as a problem and prefer to use and promote men rather than women with  children. How to combine family life and a successful career? What to do with the barrier of motherhood? What can a woman herself do to change attitudes towards young mothers?

GENDER STEREOTYPE - GLASS CEILING. In the 21st century, women are equally educated as men, but there are few women among decision makers. Why do men prefer to see leaders, and women subordinates? Are men better leaders than women, or is this a belief that everyone is used to, but what could be wrong? What beliefs help women get on the career ladder? What are the strengths of women in the struggle for leadership positions? How to remain feminine in the struggle for power?

The Project "Equal possibilities in working life for women of Moldova" is carried out in cooperation with BPW Moldova and AFAM Moldova.
