BSO Academy is one of the projects financed by East Invest. The Academy is a concept which was developed by EUROCHAMBRES more than 10 years ago, in response to a need from its Chamber network to have a dedicated and Chamber - specific training programme which can enhance the capacities and performance of its managers.

East Invest is a regional investment and trade facilitation project for the economic development of the Eastern Neighbourhood region, launched in the framework of the European Eastern Partnership initiative.  It targets Business support organisations and SMEs from the 6 Eastern Partnership countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Republic of Moldova, Ukraine), who have potential for developing mutual cooperation and investment relations with the European Union.

The seminar was focused on strategic HR management - Skilled workforce to drive BSO reforms (incl. in the context of DCFTA). There the participants acknowledge more deep about the essence of human resources, as well improved their knowledge in using new tools in this field.

This Academy offered to our representatives the possibility to learn from the EU experience and get to know a different style of HR management, recognise the value of their workforce and make them ready to invest in it in order to remain competitive on the market and be able to effectively support local SMEs.

Participants will be provided with practical skills and techniques that can be used for strategic HR management: to raise productivity, stimulate willingness to change and to adapt as well as to communicate expectations in order to achieve mutual understanding, motivation and staff commitment towards shared objectives. Addressed to senior management and HR specialists, this training will moreover analyse the principles of effective delegation, including how to avoid common pitfalls and how to maintain the correct amount of control as well as how to anticipate and deal with conflict and stress at the workplace.

The main objective of the course was: Consolidation of human resource potential and provide the participants with practical skills and techniques that can be used for strategic HR management. In that way they could improve the ability to analyse the own organisation’s structure from an HR perspective and restructure it in more European way with new tools.
